Founder & PresidentGhada Allous founded Karma Humanitarian Foundation in 2010 in Basrah, Iraq, where the organization was known locally as Al-Karma. She later re-established the work in San Diego, where it operates today as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving women and families across San Diego, Orange, and Los Angeles Counties.
Ghada personally holds HUD-recognized housing counseling credentials through Homeownership OC, a HUD-approved housing counseling agency, and brings that expertise directly into KHF's one-on-one coaching sessions.

A note on the name: you may see our work referred to as "Al-Karma" in materials tied to our founding in Iraq. That's simply the organization's historical name on that side of the world — the same organization is registered in the United States as Karma Humanitarian Foundation.
